Michael Salcedo, DPM, FACFAS

Michael Salcedo, DPM, FACFAS
Director, Podiatric Residency Program

Dr. Salcedo has served as the Director of the Podiatric Residency Program since 1994.  He completed his undergraduate at Widener University and is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.  Following graduation, he completed a fellowship at the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric and Ankle Surgery.  Dr. Salcedo is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Salcedo is an appointed Adjunct Clinical Faculty member at Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine, New York College of Podiatric Medicine, and Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.

He has been in private practice in South Bend since 1989.

Douglas Kolmodin, DPM

Dr. Dieter was born and raised just five blocks from his current office on Portage Avenue on the northwest side of South Bend.

After graduating from Indiana University he received his podiatric training from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio in 1994 and completed his surgical residency training in Grand Blanc, Michigan. In July of 1995 he joined and then purchased the practice of his father, Dr. Richard Dieter and served as Externship Director for the Saint Joseph’s/Saint Mary’s podiatry program from 1996 to 2000.

Dr. Dieter became certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 2004 and in July of 2006 was named the Associate Director of the Saint Joseph’s Podiatric Residency Program. His hobbies are flying, playing bass guitar in a rock band, and he is married to Ann Marie Stewart, PhD.

Jeffrey Biever, DPM

Dr. Biever completed his undergraduate work at the University of Notre Dame, then graduated from Des Moines University, College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.  He later completed his residency training at Yale/VA Healthcare System in New Haven, Connecticut.

Dr. Biever is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is Board certified in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.  He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.  Additionally, Dr. Biever serves as a member of both the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Biever now practices at South Bend Orthopaedics and he is a consulting physician to the University of Notre Dame.

Matthew Dinnon, DPM

Dr. Dinnon is Board certified in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.  He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.

He received his undergraduate training at Valparaiso University and is a graduate of Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.  He later made his way to South Bend and completed his residency at our very own Saint Joseph program.  Following residency, he completed a fellowship at the Foot & Ankle Institute in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Dr. Dinnon now practices at South Bend Orthopaedics and is a consulting physician to the University of Notre Dame.

Douglas Kolmodin, DPM

Dr. Kolmodin is a graduate of Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine.  Following medical school, he completed his residency training at our very own Saint Joseph program.

He is a member of both the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Kolmodin is in private practice in South Bend.

Julie Wieger, DPM

Julie Wieger, DPM, FACFAS
Faculty, Podiatric Residency Program

Dr. Wieger is a South Bend native and is Board certified by the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons.  She completed her undergraduate work at Purdue University, then graduated Cum Laude from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. 

After her residency training, Dr. Wieger returned to her hometown and has been in practice since 1996.  She has offices in both South Bend and New Carlisle. 

Dr. Wieger is also a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association and a member of the American Academy of Professional Podiatric Management.

Dr. Cho

Sandra Cho, DPM, FACFAS
Faculty, Podiatric Residency Program

Dr. Cho is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.  She completed her residency training at our very own Saint Joseph program.  Following residency, she completed a fellowship at Podiatric Surgery Associates in LaPorte, Indiana.

Dr. Cho has been in private practice in South Bend since 1997 and a faculty member of our program since 1998.  She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Indiana Podiatric Medical Association, and Board certified in the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Kline

Randall Kline, DPM
Faculty, Podiatric Residency Program

Dr. Kline has been a member of the Saint Joseph Podiatric Residency Program faculty since his graduation from our program in 2002 and is a practicing podiatrist at the Medical Center’s Wound Care Center.

He is member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and both the American and Indiana Podiatric Medical Associations.

Dr. Kline assumes an active role in several aspects of church leadership and enjoys being a member of a musical group that performs for church and community events.

 

Dr. McGowan

Donald McGowan, DPM, FACFAS
Faculty, Podiatric Residency Program

Dr. McGowan completed his undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin, then graduated Cum Laude from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.  He later completed his residency training at North Lake Medical Center in Illinois.

Dr. McGowan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ambulatory Foot Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.  He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and a member of both the American and Indiana Podiatric Medical Associations.

He has been a faculty member since 1991 and has a private practice in South Bend.

Dr. Niespodziany

Jeffrey Niespodziany, DPM, FACFAS
Faculty, Podiatric Residency Program

Dr. Niespodziany is a South Bend native and a graduate of Manchester College.  He is also a graduate of Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.  He completed his residency training at Northwest General Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Following residency, Dr. Niespodziany returned to South Bend and has been in private practice since 1989.

Dr. Niespodziany is a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons.  Additionally, he is Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Theodore Vorenkamp

Theodore Vorenkamp, DPM
Faculty, Podiatric Residency Program

Dr. Vorenkamp completed his undergraduate work at Michigan State University and later graduated from Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.  He completed his post-graduate training at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Vorenkamp is a member of the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association, and the American College of Foot & Ankle Pediatrics.  He is also Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics.  Dr. Vorenkamp has been in private practice since 1994.
