On behalf of the Saint Joseph Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency and my podiatric colleagues it is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to our PMS-36 residency website. Our program is in its 17th year of existence and shares a rich tradition of highly trained foot and ankle surgeons both locally and nationally. With the recent modifications by the Council of Podiatric Medical Education in developing the PMS-36 category, our program is able to deliver a multitude of foot and ankle reconstructive surgery with a diversity of talented surgeons. Our program boasts a large outpatient clinic where residents are able to manage their patient groups, which provides consistent continuity of care.
Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center is deeply supportive of medical education programs. Our Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency integrates routinely with Allopathic, Osteopathic, and Pharmacy Practice residency programs. Subsequently, whether inpatient or outpatient, our system is able to provide a consistent multi-disciplinary approach to patient care as well as medical education. These attributes create a training environment that is both challenging and rewarding.
Please take a moment to review some of the links in our PMS-36 program as well as the family medicine and pharmacy programs. Our program hosts 1 and 4-month third and fourth year podiatry student externships and encourages visits to our program. Our program is blessed with a great number of training opportunities for highly motivated individuals seeking excellence in training. I personally look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely yours,
