A Message From the Director
We are proud to offer two ASHP accredited 54 week PGY1 residency programs, one with ambulatory emphasis and the other with institutional (hospital) emphasis. We believe it beneficial to have incoming resident pharmacists here two weeks prior to the current resident pharmacists' graduation to aid in orientation and to maintain continuity within the curriculum and with patient care responsibilities.
It is hard to do justice to the collegial working atmosphere of our residency programs on paper. One of our strongest and most unique features is that our residency programs coexist with three other programs at the same site, Saint Joseph Family Medicine Center. Our Pharmacy Practice Residency integrates well with the allopathic and osteopathic Family Medicine Residency programs, as well as our Podiatric Residency program. There is dramatic educational synergy across all the programs as we strive in our goals of educating each other and providing excellent care to our patient population.
As you review the information here, feel free to visit the Family Medicine Residency program site as well. If you have questions, feel free to contact me personally. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Ed Sheridan, PharmD, BCPS, CDM, BC-ADM, AE-C, Director, Pharmacy Practice Residency Program
