As you look through our curriculum, we are on course
with meeting the ACGME’s (Accreditation Council
for Graduate Medical Education) requirements and AOA’s
(American Osteopathic Accreditation) requirements thus
offering dual accreditation to our osteopathic residents.
Throughout your residency, your rotations and evaluations
will occur using the competencies as a guide to measure
your performance.
First Year Resident
- 3 months Medicine
- 2 months OB
- 2 months Peds
- 1 month ER
- 1 month Surgery
- 1 month elective
- 1 month FMC 1/RAD
- 1 month FMC 2/Rehab
Second Year Resident
- 3 months Medicine
- 2 months Peds
- 2 months OB
- 2 months Electives
- 1 month Surgery
- 1 month FMC3/CM
- 1 month FMC4/BO
Third Year Resident
- 3 months Electives
- 2 months ER
- 2 months Ortho (includes sports med)
- 1 month Med Chief
- 1 month GYN
- 1 month ENT/Ophtho
- 1 month Urology/Derm
- 1 month Cardiology
Longitudinal rotations will include:
Management of Health Systems (Practice Mgmt), Scholarly Activity, and Psychiatry. These are required parts of our many options for longitudinal experiences. Residents have taken advantage of the longitudinal experience to meet their interests (i.e. sports med; International/Global; acupuncture and rural medicine). |
